Perry Barr Residential Scheme. Formally The Commonwealth Games Village.

The scheme formed the first phase of the planned housing growth in the Perry Barr area of Birmingham and was delivered on the former Birmingham City University (BCU) Teaching Campus at Aldridge Road. The scheme consisted of 968no.new homes with Lendlease on behalf of Birmingham City Council.

Project Scope: PES worked closely with Briggs & Forrester Living to undertake the LTHW, BCWS and CAT 5 services within the shell and core for Plot 7 which includes the plant room, tank room where the Distribution Pipework serving all 6 blocks, and the risers and laterals within the 6 No multi story blocks installed to the underside of the Podium Level within the Car Park that served 270no. apartments.

Our approach: The project was carried out using welded heavy steel pipework, screwed pipework, and brazed copper pipework for the BCWS.
